Turn the camera. Change the story.

SwivelFilm takes ideas from the books, voices, songs and stage and gives them movement.

Some pieces may be tiny animated thoughts. Others can become short documentaries, conversations, visual poems, comic sketches or strange little journeys where the familiar world is viewed from somewhere decidedly unfamiliar.

Imagine Earth filmed by an extraterrestrial documentary crew trying to understand why humans invented money, borders, alarm clocks and fitted sheets.

The existing website describes SwivelFilms as short animated journeys ranging from “cosmic capers to soulful ponderings,” designed to invite reflection, laughter and awakening one frame at a time. That remains an excellent foundation.

The important thing is that film isn’t a separate department floating off on its own. A SwivelBook may become a Voice. A Voice may inspire a Song. The Song may become a Film. A Film may become part of a Stage performance.

The media swivel into one another.
